The Dodd Family have a long and rich history with the McDonald’s brand and Liberty County. Working for the company since 14, Gary Dodd, moved his family from Detroit to Hinesville, Georgia to open their first family-owned McDonald’s in 1977.

As a second-generation franchisee, Ashley Dodd is proudly following in father’s footsteps. From her days behind the counter to her current role as an owner / operator, she has held a commitment to the McDonald’s brand and values, just as Gary did for over 45 years.

Ashley's leadership style is influenced by her belief in giving back, ensuring that her success is shared with those around her. Her philosophy of "POP" (Put People First, Operations, and then Profit) has spread throughout her stores ensuring that her crew, from managers who have been with her since her youth to the newest employees, feel valued and understood.

“My supervisor helped raise me. She’s been with us since I was 4,” Ashley reminisces. “I truly have McFamily.”

Ashley’s commitment to her extended family means nurturing her employees' growth and development. She champions the McDonald’s Archways to Opportunity program, providing her crew with educational resources, from tuition assistance to obtaining high school diplomas and ESL classes.

Her dedication also extends beyond the restaurants and into the community, where she has previously held the role of President of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire, being instrumental in driving forward initiatives that support families in need.

As she balances innovation with tradition, Ashley looks to inspire the next generation, ensuring that the golden arches continue to represent opportunity and service to the community, embodying everything Gary stood for.
